The ZOO!!

Saturday morning, Daddy surprised Mommy by waking up early and taking us to the ZOO! Mommy has been waiting a long time to take me to the zoo! We got there around 10am and it was already crowded!Mommy doesn't remember what we were looking at here, but Daddy and I sure are having fun!In this exhibit were monkeys. I liked looking at the monkeys a lot!Here's Daddy and me at the Great Ape House. I loved looking at the apes! They were doing silly things and one of them got real close to the glass! There was even a little baby. It was so cute, but it was very busy(like me) and Mommy couldn't get a picture of it.Mommy loves this picture of me and Daddy with the Zebra in the background.Here's me and Mommy at the Zebras. Mommy wanted proof that she went to the zoo too. I guess someone had to take all of the pictures!After the Zebras was the Small Animal House. I got to walk around a little bit in there. I like the Meerkats the best. Some of them were right up close to the glass. This Meerkat posed like this for a long time, so Mommy had to get a shot of it!

Mommy didn't know, but the Smithsonial Zoo now has a little farm. It opened in 2004. You are allowed to pet all of the animals, but they have to get close enough to the fences to pet them. None of them were close enough, so we didn't pet any of them. Maybe next time!Cows!and Goats!
They had lots more animals, but Mommy didn't take pictures of them all.

We had an AMAZING time at the zoo!
